To knit or not to knit?

That is the question.

Do you ever look at a pattern and think it should be cute and conceptually it's cute and the model who's wearing it is cute, but then realize that you just can't quite wrap your head around the end product? Yeah, I'm feeling that way about the tilted duster. I *like* the tilted duster, and the ones I've seen have been cute, and it's a very nicely different pattern... I just can't get my head around it. And I feel like it's cute enough that I *should* want to knit it, but really, I just don't. Not for myself. And not really for anyone I know. And yet, I still kind of do, and I can't figure out why. I've spent hours pondering this pattern. What is the mysterious allure of the tilted duster?

Of course, I've solved the problem quite nicely by deciding to knit only from my stash this year. That means I have a whole YEAR to ponder and decide whether I'm going to knit the tilted duster or not.

:D

The sleeveless turtleneck is being washed and blocked now. Pics next time!

It's always so hard for me to knit for myself, since I can never judge whether or not something will look good on me. I think that's why I prefer knitting for others.
